When a pastor says, "I have a teaching ministry." what he is actually saying is that he plans to shirk many of his duties, unless he believes in plurality of elders and the work is divided. They may even neglect Proverbs 27:23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. Instead of preaching they give a nice lecture that convicts no one and in the end makes the people who attend self satisfied with their own spirituality.
