So when talking about the heart here are a few verses to help us understand "feelings".

Genesis 6:5

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 27:41

And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

Leviticus 19:17

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Deuteronomy 17:20

That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

Job 1:5

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Psalm 12:2

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

Psalm 15:2

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Psalm 28:3

Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

Psalm 36:1

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

Psalm 53:1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Psalm 64:6

They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

Psalm 81:12

So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

Psalm 101:5

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Psalm 119:69

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

Proverbs 4:23

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Poverbs 5:12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 

Proverbs 6:14

Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Proverbs 10:8
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
Proverbs 11:29
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
Proverbs 12:20
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Proverbs 15:28
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
Proverbs 16:5
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 17:20
He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.
Proverbs 18:2
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

 I find more and more that I cannot express myself in a safe place that does not offend someone or be accused of attacking the viewer. Almost everyone is more concerned about these things: 1. their feelings,  2. being respected the way they define respect and demand to be "respected",  3. being "comfortable",  4. triggers,  5. issues, 6. perceived aggression's,  7. boundaries,  8. emotions  9. space, They are more concerned about themselves in a very narcissistic way than they are about anyone else. No one wants to talk about truth! No one wants to be confronted with Truth. No one wants to be reproved for inappropriate behavior, sin or anything else.  In this blog I am working on emotions and their role in the Christian life. I find that many people equate feelings with fact, or as completely valid or as important as facts. Since as a Christian I can say that any "fact" that does not line up with the Bible is not a "fact" but something else, most probably an opinion.  The Bible (and in my blog that means the KJV) hardly ever mentions the word "feelings" or "feel" and when it does, it is talking about the physical sense of touch.
